So Teach Your Children Well…

Aah children, tiny humans that brighten our lives with their naivety and simple questions that can never be simply answered. Children are like snowflakes. Each one is unique and different in their own way. But that innocence and angelic disposition only last for so long, depending on your threshold for painfully mind numbing conversation, repetitious games, and frustrating food palettes. Kind of like living in winter snow. It’s beautiful when you see it for the first time, falling softly outside your window. If you’re feeling ambitious, you might even go outside and play. But after about 2 weeks, you are so over it. You want to leave town, leave the country, go anywhere except be in the frigid cold and go insane. That’s why I don’t understand why so many young adults can tolerate having children at this age. We believe instant gratification is a lifestyle, not a privilege. So why create this tiny organism that cannot take care of itself and suck the emotional and financial well being out of you!? Don’t get me wrong, I love children…as long as they’re not mine.
