Who I Am.
I studied communications majoring in creative services. An unmissable job opportunity saw me living in London for 2 years while working for a high-end marketing agency. Deep down though, I’d always been a small biz kinda girl – buying from and supporting local small businesses where I could (even though I never saw myself owning my own). Unable to express my epic creativity or think outside the box in an agency setting, I knew I could use what I’d learnt to help small businesses that didn’t have tens of thousands of dollars each year in the marketing budget to make waves and grow their business online. Fast forward to 2019 and Boho Social was born. boho “a free-spirited, open-minded thinker” social “to represent my true passion for social media & the positive power it can have on a business”
Tell us in your own words why you do what you do, keep this positive and relevant including the passion and vision you had to live this new life you have created for yourself.
For me, it’s all about the lightbulb moment. That moment when something “clicks” for my client and they can see how they can use social media to grow their business. That’s where the momentum starts and from there the ideas and creativity start free flowing. That moment is the beginning of all the good things that come next in their business. It’s honestly an incredible thing to witness. My vision has always been to help small business owners use Instagram to promote their business with very little to no marketing budget. Using organic marketing to get themselves seen by their ideal audience and start to make sales! Having limited funds shouldn’t be a closed door, merely a slight detour on the road to business success. I am now at a point where I have created my membership Content Circle where I get to help even more small business owners than ever before.
What was it that prompted the change in your journey?
Working in a large agency I kept seeing the same thing. Small business owners walk into a meeting full of excitement and energy and leave deflated after realising the type of budget they would need to work with an agency. I knew I could help them devise a strategy and get on the right track for the place they were at in business without breaking the bank. That was when I decided I needed to go out on my own. To make my impact I needed to start my own business in order to help small business owners. I left my agency job on a Friday and started Boho Social on the Monday.

Is a life goal important to you and how would you define this?
My goal is to help as many small business owners as possible. Although I’ve never put a number on it how many business owners that is, I feel that if my membership keeps growing and I continue 1:1 coaching then I am fulfilling that goal. To be able to help one person move forward in their business is an amazing achievement for me and I am so grateful I get to do that every day.
Why is it important to follow your dream and what have you share from this?
Life is short, if you don’t follow your dreams when you can then you have wasted so much potential. While I can’t say it’s easy it is worth every ounce of effort and determination you put in. My advice for anyone who wants to follow their dream would be to keep going, on the rough days, the setbacks and self-doubt days keep going – it’s worth it.
Where do you go from here, what does the future hold?
The future for Boho Social is bright! I want to build my membership Content Circle in order to help even more small business owners. Continue to build it as a supportive small business community full of knowledge, support, strategy and soul.
